The Laurier Economics Department (LED) is all set to give it a go (again!), hosting its 2nd annual cricket match on Friday, September 13 in Waterloo Park.
The inaugural students/faculty/staff Cricket Game was held last September. Despite overcast weather, turnout was great - over 70 faculty/staff and students with varying levels of cricketing experience showing up.
From bowling, batting, and fielding to standing around chatting in the outfield, and sitting in the park and enjoying the atmosphere, the afternoon had something for everyone.
Massive thanks to the Laurier Cricket Club for the use of their gear and for providing their expert coaching for the many people who were new to the sport. And a thanks also to Laurier International for logistical support.
We’re looking forward to doing it all again this Fall, Waterloo Park, on the afternoon of September 13. Drop by and say hi if you’re around.
